For some reason I can bake a great holiday turkey, but I suck at Jell-O. My first try at Baklava was mistaken for lasagne. Some people love my cookies while some might remember the burnt mess that was supposed to be my first Fettucine Alfredo before I got married. In a nutshell, I'm hit-and-miss. I love that being a Pampered Chef Consultant at a Cooking Show is more like being the facilitator rather than the professional cook.
So after many, many years of fearing the ever-hallowed homemade cheesecake, I took the plunge. I used the highest-rated recipe on AllRecipes.com, followed some tips I found on other websites (and got from my sisters too!) and this is what happened:
Not bad, huh? It tasted pretty darn good too. And I actually don't eat too much cheesecake.
