Re: Breakfast at Chef Mickey’s
Character meals are an investment in your sanity and in a wonderful experience. We had breakfast at the Contemporary Resort’s Chef Mickey’s buffet restaurant. Mickey, Goofy, Donald, Minnie and Pluto visited with each table, signed autographs and took pictures. No need to wait in line at a park for 45 minutes in the heat to meet the characters anymore! The food was pretty good, and really all you need are the Mickey-shaped waffles and hot chocolate with confetti on the whipped cream to satisfy the kids. If you’ve got girly-girls, there are princess character meals too, but as you know, I’ve got a pre-pre-teen and a tomboy. But yes, I highly recommend doing at least one. The staff works hard to make it a great experience for all the guests.

Re: Park Day #2 – Epcot
This was a hit-and-miss visit for me. Some of the science-themed attractions seemed outdated but my oldest loved it, and the girls and I loved the GM Test Track ride. The Finding Nemo –The Seas section is great. My little guy got to talk to Crush the turtle. We whizzed through the World Showcase and there was a garden festival going on – beautiful. And as an added bonus, Davy Jones from the Monkees was performing the night we were there. We scored great seats again for the Illuminations night time show.
