Meet 1-2-3-4 Lemon Cake. My first attempt at baking from scratch in a LONG time. Despite a few frantic phone calls to my fellow stay-at-home-baking-mom sister and over-whipping the heavy cream into sweet butter, I think it was a success. It became the birthday cake for my newest brother-in-law yesterday since the elders didn't think candles in 5 tubs of ice cream wouldn't cut it (pshaw!).
