With two days of work left, this morning I decided to try getting nostalgic about the downtown I will no longer be a part of on a daily basis. I walked slowly up Yonge Street from Union Station, just looking up and admiring the tall buildings and soaking in the pre-rush hour calm that can be enjoyed at 7:15 on weekday mornings. And then a van belonging to the TTC almost ran over a pedestrian and the driver started swearing at the almost-victim.

So much for that.
