I drifted onto the blog of a friend's friend the other day and saw a word that I'd heard several times in recent months during team calls: authentic. I don't know this person, but she is about to start a new business, pursuing a passion full-time. I applaud her from my own little corner of the universe.

So this word...it's huge for me. It begs the question: are you being true to yourself? Are your daily occupations aligned with your values? Do you get excited to begin a new day, whether it's Monday or it's Friday? Do your relationships feed your soul? Are you brave enough to add, remove, or change certain things in your life to make it so?

I have been all about living an authentic life for a long time, and it's a challenge sometimes. But it is most definitely worth the effort.
